  • A peaceful planet with little trade, Sernpidal was catapulted into the galactic spotlight after the tragedy that brought its destruction. Before that, however, Sernpidal was home to a small population of humans and native Sernpidalians. Sernpidalians are albino humanoids with pale skin and light-colored eyes. The third planet in the Julevian system, Sernpidal was the capital of the sector, yet still had a relatively low population. That, plus some modest food exports, is all that Sernpidal had to offer the galaxy.
After Sernpidal's moon, Dobido, came crashing down onto the surface, the planet was rendered completely uninhabitable. The atmosphere was blown from the planet, and internal disruptions nearly blew the planet apart. Many people thought the Yuuzhan Vong had devastated the planet on a whim. However, a Rogue Squadron reconnaissance mission found that they were building a huge ship from the remains of the planet. This threat looms over the New Republic, as its continued survival may depend on making sure that ship doesn't see action.
