The Type-54D Directed Energy Pistol, abbreviated T-54D DEP, and more commonly known as the Plasma Pistol, is a Covenant Remnant firearm.

Game Notes:

  • This weapon may fire an Overcharged Blast:
  • Requires 1 full round to charge
  • Consumes 5 ammo
  • Attack +1D
  • Damage 5D
  • Requires 1 full round to cool down after being fired.

Type-52

[edit]
Type-52

The Type-52 Pistol, more commonly known as the Mauler, is a Jiralhanae sidearm used by the Infantry and Security forces of the Covenant Loyalists during the Human-Covenant war. It functions as a handheld shotgun.

Game Notes:

  • Bladed Melee Attack: Damage: STR+1D

Needle Pistol

[edit]

The Needle Pistol is relatively small, allowing a Sangheili to operate it one-handed. Like its larger cousin, the pistol's projectiles are capable of producing a super-combine explosion if enough of them impact in unshielded organic matter. The needles are individually more powerful than those fired by the Needler, though this is somewhat offset by being limited to a semiautomatic fire mode. It has been seen to strip a Shipmaster's shields in a few shots, and it is possible that its needles can cause a super-combine in six shots when embedded in non-organic armor.

Game Notes:

  • Super Combine: Each Crystalline Shard will detonate 1 full round after it hits the target. This causes +2 damage per Crystalline Shard that successfully hit the target, to a maximum of +2D+2 for a total of 5D+2 damage. Any shards in the target at the time of detonation are destroyed but cause no additional damage.
