Description: The F-302, Multirole Attack Aerospace Fighter is the first successful mass production craft produced by the Stargate Program. It has sense become the mainstay in Earth's Fleets carrier on most Carrier and is found on many off world bases. The current models is a updated version of the F-302 Fighter-Interceptor. Available in two current models; F-302G (Dual Seater) and F-302H (Single Seater). When a F-302 is destroyed, it emits an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) which can easily interfere with electrical and communications signals. Despite several new types of fighters the 302 is still the mainstay in Earth's Fleet, and many veteran pilots still favor the 302. The current models are also know as "King Ravens", but it still called the "three-oh-two" by many of it's users. The G and H models were designed to be both more efficient, as well as attempting to further extend the operational life of the craft.
The 302 is currently used by almost all nations of the Stargate Program that utilize fighters, even if they don't maintain ships of there own. A larger number of older units are assigned to Earth defense groups as they're pulled from front line duty. In the later 2010s there was a joint United States-Taiwan program to develop variants of the F-302, and of the BC-304 resulting in success at creating F-302 variants (such as the MC-305, the EA-302G, and the F-370), and causing the construction of the ROTS Tai Yang.
A fresh production line is expected to be introduced in 2025, referred to as the "King Raven", is the current production model in service, augmenting or replacing existing F-302E/F Super Ravens in service. It is currently being supplemented by the new F/A-305B in attack roles. Though many speculated that the F-302G/H is the last iteration, no replacements have yet to be put forward, ensuring it's place in service.
Up until the F-302E/F Super Raven, most of the modifications and updates made were internal, maintaining the original size while focusing on avionics, power plant, and building materials. However it became increasingly clear that the size was starting to hamper combat effectiveness, especially in light of the failure of the original F-305 project. In 2024, a design team was formed to address this problem, and a solution was found. By expanding the airframe by 25%, the internal cargo bay could be replaced by two internal launch bays with two hardpoints in each, and space out the six wing hardpoints enough to allow for heavier weapons. This would simultaneously give the F-302G/H King Raven a larger payload capacity, but also would allow the fighter to have a secondary stealth role, since by carrying an internal load, it's overall signature could be reduced. The design was approved, and in 2025, the F-302G/H began full-scale production.
