Description: The Blackbird came about more as a morale building exercise by Galen Tyrol and the crew of the Battlestar Galactica, following the latter’s flight from the Colonies in the wake of the Holocaust. She was primarily from left over components, and her hull was composed of carbon composite sheathing. The Blackbird had a service life of less than three months, being destroyed in a collision with a Cylon raider during Admiral Cain’s assault on a Cylon resurrection ship.
