Babylon 5 Drakh Gravitic Energy Grid
Gravitic Energy Grid
[edit]Most Drakh vessels are equipped with a potent gravitic energy grid. This grid runs through the ship’s hull, allowing it to extend its artificial gravity field beyond its normal confines. Each grid has a rating, determining how strong it is. This grid can be used in several ways, but only one way at a time:
Grappling
[edit]All equipped vessels may execute a Grapple maneuver. This acts the same as a Tractor Beam. The Fire Control is the same as the ship's other weapon systems. Space Range is 1-5/12/25. The scale is the same as the equipped vessel's. The Strength of the Grapple is the same as the equipped vessel's Grid Strength as listed below.
Structural Reinforcement
[edit]A damaged Drakh vessel can attempt to hold itself together using its gravitic grid. When a Drakh ship with a grid makes a Hull check, it may choose to gain a bonus to the check equal to its Grid rating. This bonus does not apply to resisting combat damage.
Gravity Pulse
[edit]The Gravity Grid can be used to generate a wave of force that expands out from the ship, buffeting other nearby vessels. When this pulse is fired, all ships within Space Range of 3 of the Drakh vessel must resist the damage. The pulse's scale is the same as the equipped vessel's scale. The size of the affected ship depends upon the strength of the grid, see chart below.
- Note: There is no listed amount of times for how often a ship can use this pulse. GM's are encouraged to limit the use of this pulse in terms of fair game play.
| Grid Rating | Starfighter Scale Grid Strength | Capital Scale Grid Strength | Ship Size Affected |
| 1 | 5D | 2D | 15 meters or less |
| 2 | 10D | 4D | 30 meters or less |
| 3 | 15D | 6D | 150 meters or less |
| 4 | 20D | 8D | 300 meters or less |
Gravity Shield
[edit]The grid can be used to create a shield around the Drakh vessel. Use the Grid Shield Rating that matches the equipped vessel's scale.
| Grid Shield Rating | Starfighter Scale | Capital Scale |
| 1 | 5D | 2D |
| 2 | 10D | 4D |
| 3 | 15D | 6D |
| 4 | 20D | 8D |
