Description: The F-302 has long since proven it's worth as a fighter, but in ground attack roles, there have been many issues that have not been satisfactorily addressed in its various iterations, and the original F-305 failed to turn up anything worthwhile. A group of engineers from Boeing and Eurocopter began to pursue an alternate route of meeting that need, by creating a gunship to use off-world, beginning low-level work in late 2025. Shortly after the end of the Allies-Chinese War, a group of officers with Earth Fleet Command learned of the project and found it to be worth merit, and got it full funding. The result has turned up in the AV-380 Raptor gunship.

Borrowing from successful helicopter gunship designs, the Raptor introduces new technology to proven designs and techniques. It is not particularly fast, but it is agile and armed to the teeth, while also boasting respectable armor plating to keep it safe in a fight. Though it can be used in space operations, its true playing field is supporting forces on the ground, providing close air support to infantry. Fitted with a nose mounted railgun turret, and two retractable wings with three hardpoints each, the Raptor can bring a flurry of firepower onto a target, while also still able to either fly around threats or soak up some of the punishment dealt back to it. It is beginning production in late 2026 and will see full scale deployment in 2027.
