Description: While the Lantean Z/ANC-006 "Puddle Jumper" has been the mainstay transport of Stargate operating units, there has been a call for something designed and built on Earth, out of concern of losing an irreplaceable craft. The Grizzly started life as a multinational effort between Sikorski, British Aerospace Engineering, Mil Aviation, and Chang-he Aircraft Industries Corporation (CAIC) in mid-2025 to create a transport to meet the requirements that the marginal MC-305 Wolverine was failing to. Sikorski focused on the actual body, BAe on propulsion, Mil on protection, and CAIC on the electronics and avionics. Originally, the CV-365 was slated for release in mid-2026, but on the eve of the war with China, CAIC withdrew from the project and took all of their work with them, pushing the release back to near 2027. Saab Group was brought in to do the work CAIC abandoned, and managed to get the release set for late 2026. During this time, the MV-365 Pave Grizzly was developed in parallel to meet Special Operations needs, which replaces some of the weapons for more passengers and an FTL drive reverse engineered from the models fitted to Earth-operating "Puddle Jumpers".
The end result of both projects has created a transport well suited for combat operations, with excellent armor plating and plenty of weapons. The CV-365 boasts internal weapons pylons that fold down from the body, and can carry Zuni rocket pods or Hellfire anti-tank missiles, but these were deleted to expand the cargo space in the MV-365. Both variants have two nose mounted railguns on turrets to provide heavy suppressing fire, as well as three door weapons mounts, one on both sides and a third mounted at the tail ramp, and can accept a wide range of machine guns, miniguns or even automatic grenade launchers.
