Description: The Sorthak was a heavy fighter produced by the Kilrathi Empire during the last years of the Terran-Kilrathi War. The Sorthak generated numerous rumors after it was first encountered by Confederation forces.

On 2669.207, during a routine naval air transfer, eighteen Confederation fighters (5 Arrows, 9 Thunderbolts and 4 Longbows) were destroyed by a Sorthak. Black boxes recovered following the attack "indicated that an unusually large Kilrathi fighter attacked the group." The digital tape recovered from the boxes described the ship as "a cross between a Vaktoth and a destroyer, with massive guns protruding from both the front and rear." The fighter was codenamed "Sorthak" by TCN Intell after the incident in the Vega Sector.

Sorthaks were encountered by the flight wing of the TCS Victory several times during the last operations of the war.
